On any given Saturday in San Clemente: Going to South Orange County Cars and Coffee, July 05, 2025

South Orange County Cars and Coffee, held at the San Clemente Outlets every Saturday

On Saturday the fifth of July, 2025, I went down to our local weekly car show, the South OC Cars and Coffee, which is held every Saturday at the San Clemente Outlets.  Since the Outlets are only some five minutes from our house, it is a great place to visit on a Saturday morning.  According to their website www.southoccarsandcoffee.com, it has now become the biggest weekly car show in the world!  Hundreds of vehicles attend every week, including hyper cars, supercars, exotics, vintage, classics, muscle and sports cars, hot rods, rat rods, street rods, pickups, 4x4, and motor cycles.  Since Saturday the fifth was the day after Fourth of July, I figured it would be busy, and so it was!  The weather was perfect!  Here is a little sampling of the cars that were at the show (and unlike most of my other posts, this time I'll let the pictures do the talking):

A righteous hot rod.

A cool VW bus, nicely restored.

A cool old van.

A nice old El Camino.

VW Carman Ghia, nice shape!

A really nice Bronco.

Another view of the Bronco.

Super nice Mustang.

Belvedere GTX

Super nice convertible Firebird.

A GMC Pearl, apparently.  Must have been GMCs answer to the Chevrolet Jimmy...

A cool old Land Rover.  From the sound when it left, this one is diesel powered.

Gotta love the Jaguar E-type, one of the most beautiful cars in the world, and a convertible to boot!  Soooo nice!

What a nice MG!!!!  Not many of those around anymore, but this Saturday this one was one of four!

Volvo P-1800, I would have loved to have one of those when I was 18!

Dodge Ram Charger, not many of those around...

A couple of Zs...

A couple of Hell Cats, waiting to jump, claws out!

A super nice Aston Martin, stirred, not shaken!

A 392 Challenger, seemingly fresh of the dealer lot!

Cool old restored wagon, I'm not sure of the make...

Another Landi, ready for an outback adventure (or just going to the mall...)

A little muscle car sampling...  Gotta show off that engine!

1969 Road Runner, Beep, Beep!

El Camino SS, gotta love it!

More American muscle; this part of the show is usually occupied by a bunch of old guys (probably my age, ha, ha, ha), who hang out every Saturday showing off the cars they would have loved to have when they were in high school!  Now they finally have the money to restore them and enjoy them!

Dune Buggies don't come much nicer than this one!

A couple of nice Vettes; there are usually some 25-50 Vettes being showed off every Saturday.

Another Vette, and a nice old Mercedes...

Vettes, Vettes, and more Vettes...

Country Squire?  Cool Woody for sure!

Cool Hot Rod; the Hot Rods are probably my favorites...

More Hot Rods...

All it takes is time and money, and you too can have a Hot Rod this nice!

A souped-up Nova, pride of ownership for sure!

Ford Skyliner, with the top partially retracted.

Another view of the Skyliner...

A crazily souped-up Corvair.  Unsafe at any speed for sure!

The Corvair engine, as clean as a whistle!

Dodge Viper, super, super nice!

Another nice Jag E-Type, this one is probably V-8 powered, given the exhaust pipes...

Pontiac Trans Am...  Soooo Nice!

A little European sampling...

An early VW Rabbit, the Hot Rod of my youth...  Never could afford one...

Now this is a T-Bucket; as nice as they come!

A nice custom Woodie!

Number one of three really, really nice MGs.

And number two...

And here is number three; I'm pretty sure they all belong to some MG Club...

This Cobra will bite, for sure!

A nice original Ranchero, probably mid-60s...

A couple of really old Woodies, super cool!

A super nice custom!

Mustang...

More and more Vettes...

The Judge...

Early 1947 Mercury 4x4 Woody.

VW Bus, perfect for SoCal!!!

A couple of Street Rods, nice!

Old VWs are still very popular!

VW bus with Air Conditioning!!!!

And did I say more and more Vettes?

The San Clemente Corvette dealership...

The Bandit!  I think it is for sale!

Dodge...

A really nice Thunderbird convertible!

Lotus!

A couple of Cobras, watch out!

Porsches as far as the eye can see!

The San Clemente rolling Porsche dealership!

Did I say more Porsches?

South Orange County love their Porsches!

One of many cool Ferraries...

McLaren, a nice yellow!

The star of the show, Bugatti!

Bugatti, what you drive when you simply have too much money!

The super car isle, where the Ferraris, Lamboghinis, McLarens and Maseratis live...

Some cool old super car, don't really know what it is...

Some strange track car, with a crazy engine!

A Dodge Viper snuck in!

And more super cars...

Ferrari, anyone?

Lambo!!!!!  Love that color!

Ferraris galore!

A really nice Aston Martin, ready for Mr. Bond!

Love that Bentley, and the color is really nice!  Maybe I should take a home equity loan; I'll be riding in style!

Lambo again!

Super cars as far as the eye can see!

Super Cars, anyone?

Cobra, this one has both bark and bite!

A crazy paint job on a Tesla!

Some weird old VW 4x4 truck thing...

A really nice Saturn convertible, not too many around...

Another nice Bronco, looks original!

Another nicely done 4x4 truck, Ford?

1940s pickup truck I believe...

A 190 SL, don't get much nicer than that one!

A patinaed pickup, this dude is always at Cars and Coffee!

A Cobra and a Vette, what a nice pair!  I wonder what their offspring would look like...

A nice old convertible, from the time when cars were designed to be enjoyed!

And lastly something new, made to look old; the Bombardier, made to look like a classic Land Rover.

And so it ended, my tour of South Orange Cars and Coffee in San Clemente on July 05, 2025.  A perfect start for the Weekend!  Don't get much better than this!
